Abstract
The present Ordinance implements the Federal Animal Protection Act of 16 December 2005. In particular, article 1 establishes that the Interior Office is the competent authority in the Canton. The text deals with the following matters: terms of reference of local authorities; the Veterinary Office, the Agricultural Office, the Animal Experiment Commission; examination of animals for slaughter and of meat, taking stock of animals, transitional provisions, fees, etc. The text consists of 12 articles divided into 2 Parts.
