Abstract
The present Ordinance enforces the Federal Act on investment aid for mountain areas of 21 March 1997. The Ordinance aims to: a) improve the economic conditions for development and competitiveness in mountain areas, b) encourage the exploitation of regional potentials, c) contribute to the maintenance of decentralized settlement and the socio-cultural independence and diversity of the region; d) promote cooperation between communities, subregions and regions. The text consists of 27 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Investment aid (II); Organization and financing of regional development (III);Competences and proceedings (IV); Control, coordination (V); Duty to give information, offences (VI); Final provisions (VII).
Entry into force notes
The present Ordinance enters into force 1 March 1999.
Notes
The present Ordinance is consolidated as of 1 January 2004.The present Ordinance repeals the Ordinance of 28 February 1978 on the same subject.
