Abstract
The ordinance establishes cantonal rules for water protection in agriculture in Graubünden, regulating farmyard‑manure flows, storage infrastructure and manure utilisation to prevent contamination of surface and groundwater. It sets minimum storage capacities for slurry and solid manure based on agricultural zones, prescribes construction standards for manure stores, tanks and drainage systems, and requires farms to maintain a farm drainage plan. The text restricts field‑edge manure storage and composting, prohibits such practices in groundwater protection zones, and sets maximum livestock‑related nutrient loads by altitude zone to avoid over‑fertilisation. Coordination of enforcement between the agricultural and environmental authorities is mandated.
