Annoucement on the scope and time of fishing ban in key waters of the Yangtze River Basin in Sichuan Province.

This Announcement is issued in accordance with the Fisheries Law, aiming to strengthen the construction of ecological civilization and effectively restore aquatic biological resources in key waters of the Yangtze River Basin of Sichuan province. 　　
The banned areas listed in this Announcement include: (1) 45 aquatic biological reserves in Sichuan in the Yangtze River Basin, such as National Nature Reserve for Rare and Special Fish in the Upper Reaches of the Yangtze River, National Nature Reserve of Rare Aquatic Animals in the Noshui River. (2) The Yangtze River main and its primary tributaries in Sichuan Province, and Minjiang, Tuojiang, Chishui, Jialing and Dadu River and its primary tributaries.
The ban on productive fishing in the aquatic reserves within the banned areas shall be for long term; for the prohibited waters outside the aquatic reserves, the ban shall be tentatively scheduled for a period of 10 years from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2030.
