Circular of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on the scope and time of fishing ban in key waters of the Yangtze River Basin

This Announcement is issued in accordance with the Fisheries Law, the Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on strengthening the protection of Aquatic Organisms in the Yangtze River, etc.
The banned areas are listed in the Announcement: (1) 332 nature reserves including the National Nature Reserves for rare and endemic fish in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the aquatic germplasm resources reserves; (2) The main streams and important tributaries of the Yangtze River; (3) Large-scale lakes leading to the Yangtze River; (4) Oter key waters.
