Announcement No. 2569 of the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China promulgating the "Requirements for the Pesticide Registration Materials".

These Requirements are enacted to scientifically evaluate the pesticide products applied for registration and standardize the application materials for pesticide registration.
The Text consists of 10 Chapters: General provisions (I); Terms and definitions; (II); Chemical pesticides (III); Biochemical pesticides (IV); Microbial pesticides (V); Plant-derived pesticides(VI); sanitary pesticide preparations (VII); Registration changes (VIII); Registration changes (IX); Supplementary provisions (X).
Pesticide names should be Chinese generic names or simplified generic names, and commodity names should not be used. The principle of naming pesticide is given in Annex 11. The content and formulation of effective ingredients in pesticide products should conform to the principles of improving product quality, protecting environment, facilitating quality inspection and effective use. The quality specifications and physical and chemical properties of pesticide preparations can be found in Annex 13. The toxicity classification standard of pesticide products can be found in Annex 14.
