Decision of the Ministry of Agriculture on Amending the Measures for Licensing for Production of Livestock Genetic Materials.

“The Ministry of Agriculture” as mentioned in Article 3, 16, 18, 19, 20 of the Measures shall be changed into “the provincial animal husbandry and veterinary competent authorities”.
In order to be engaged in the production of livestock genetic materials, an entity or individual shall obtain the License for Production and Management of Breeding Stock and Poultry approved and issued by the provincial animal husbandry and veterinary competent authorities.
In addition, Article 21 and 22 have been added in the Measures. The provincial animal husbandry and veterinary competent authorities shall submit on-site assessments, quality inspection reports, the announcements of approval of the Licenses for Production and Management of Breeding Stock and Poultry and other related materials to the Ministry of Agriculture for filing(Art. 21). The Ministry of Agriculture may carry out supervision and inspection and quality checks on the units and individuals that have obtained the licenses (Art. 22).
