Abstract
These Measures are formulated in accordance with the Animal Epidemic Prevention Law of the People's Republic of China for the purpose of standardizing the examination of animal epidemic prevention conditions, effectively preventing, controlling, purifying and eradicating animal epidemics, preventing and controlling infectious diseases common to human beings and animals, and ensuring public health safety and human health.
Animal farms, animal isolation places, animal slaughtering and processing places, and places for harmless treatment of animals and animal products shall meet the requirements for animal epidemic prevention as stipulated in these Measures, and obtain the qualification certificate for animal epidemic prevention conditions. The fairs dealing in animals and animal products shall meet the requirements for animal epidemic prevention stipulated in these Measures.
These Measures further provide for supervision institutions and for penalties.
