Regulation of the People's Republic of China on Seamen.

This Regulation is formulated for the purpose of strengthening the administration of seamen, improving their caliber, safeguarding their legal rights and interests, ensuring on-water traffic safety and protecting the waters environment. The Measures consist of 67 Articles divided into 8 Chapters: General provisions; Seamen registration and qualifications; Seamen duties; Seamen occupational security; Seamen training and Seamen services; Supervision and inspection; Legal liabilities; Supplementary provisions.
Seamen and their Employers shall participate in work-related injury insurance, medical insurance, endowment insurance, unemployment insurance and other social insurances in accordance with relevant state regulations, and pay all insurance premiums on time and in full according to law. Seamen shall obtain the corresponding Seamen Competency Certificate in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations.
