Abstract
This text defines the administrative structure of the People's Republic of China regarding fisheries. The 42 articles are divided into seven Chapters: General Provisions (I); Fishery Superintendence (II); Aquaculture (III); Fishing (IV); Increase and Protection of Fishery Resources (V); Penalty (VI); Supplementary Provisions (VII).
Article 3 stipulates that "State superintendence of fisheries shall operate under the principle of unified leadership and decentrealized administration". It addresses the issues of fishing authorization, enforcement, conservation measures, building of artificial reefs, and offences.
