Rules for the Work of the Assessment Committee of National Special Marine Protection Areas.

These Measures are enacted according to the Marine Environmental Protection Law and the Measures for the Management of Special Marine Protection Areas, aiming to ensure the objective and impartial assessment of national marine special protection areas. The Measures consist of 16 Articles.
The State Oceanic Administration is responsible for the establishment and management of the Assessment Committee for the national marine special protection areas. The main responsibilities of the Committee are: (1) to undertake the daily affairs of the Committee; (2) responsible for preliminary review of application materials for new national marine special protection areas and relevant materials for the overall planning, adjustment of functional areas of national marine special protection; etc.
