Abstract
This Decree-Law, consisting of 4 Chapters, approves the functions, organization, structure and competencies of the Ministry for Rural Development (MDR), according to strategic and political National framework defined by the governmental programme of 8th Legislation of the Republic of Cape Verde. The MDR proposes, coordinates, and implements all the policies related to Rural Development, in particular for agriculture, silvo-pastoralism, livestock and food security. The Decree-Law is divided as follows: Objectives (Chap. I); Structure (Chap. II); Public and anonimous institutions (Chap. III); Final provisions (Chap. IV).
