Decree-Law No. 7/2013 transforming the National Institute of Rural Engineering and Forests (INERF) in a National Society of Rural Engineering and Forests (SONERF, E.P.E.).

This Decree-Law approves the new Statute of the National Institute of Rural Engineering and Forests (INERF) transforming it in a National Society of Rural Engineering and Forests (SONERF, E.P.E.). The Statute of the SONERF, E.P.E., consisting of 8 Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution entitled to: design, implement and control any projects related to works or other infrastructures used for water resources conservation, correction, preservation, valorisation and use, soil and land conservation, fight against desertification and implement the reforestation and maintenance of forestry areas; project and realize water and hydro-geological works in urban and rural areas; keep the above mentioned works; develop actions in the rural development and financial areas, according to Law No. 47/ VII/2009 of 7 December.
