Abstract
This Decree, issued pursuant to the provisions of article 28 of the Law no. 54 of 1996 on Food (Control and Sale) and incorporating Commission Directive 2002/82/EC amending Directive 96/77/EC laying down specific purity criteria on food additives other than colours and sweeteners, amends the Various Substances in Foodstuffs Regulations no. 126 of 2002. The amendments concern: the first schedule of the Regulations, by substituting the paragraph regarding a list of permitted various substances with substances defined in the Decree, and by adding a paragraph regarding other permitted miscellaneous substances, including hydrogen.
