Decree no. 300 of 2024 on Milk (Obligations of Fresh Goat and/or Sheep Milk Producers).

This Ministerial Decree, implementing provisions of the Milk (Contracting for the Delivery of Fresh Milk) Law, no. 50 of 2017, and in compliance with the provisions of the European Regulation 1308/2013/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 establishing a Common Organisation of the Markets in Agricultural Products, obliges any producer of fresh goat's and/or sheep's milk: to submit to the competent authority an application for registration in the register of milk producers according to the form specified in Appendix A; to hold a certificate of establishment of food of animal origin in accordance with the provisions of the Cyprus Legislation; to keep a record of the handwritten and electronic receipts received from the collector-carrier and the first buyer's payment receipts for audit purposes; to justify at all times to the competent authority the quantities of milk produced and sold; to deliver said milk, after being registered in the register of producers, to a first buyer approved by the competent authority. The Decree also concerns obligations for producers who deliver raw milk to an approved first buyer outside of the electronic system of collection carriers approved by the competent authority, to transmit in electronic form to the competent authority the total quantity of said milk in accordance with the form specified in Appendix B.
