The outer limits of the Continental Shelf shall, unless otherwise agreed between the Republic and any state whose coasts lie opposite to those of the Republic, be the same as the limits of the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Republic.
The Law also defines sovereign rights and jurisdiction of Cyprus in respect of its EEZ and Continental Shelf and provides rule with respect to the exploitation and exploitation in these maritime zones. The Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment shall, by Order determine the allowable catch and species of living resources in the Exclusive Economic Zone. "Living resources" includes fish and any other living organisms. The Council of Ministers may make Regulations for the better carrying into effect of the provisions of this Law.
