Law no. 29 (I) of 2004 on the Road Transport of Dangerous Good.

This Law provides for harmonising the country legislation with European Union Law on the transport of dangerous goods by road, and thus aims at: increasing safety in the road transport of dangerous goods, through the establishment of specifications, verification and control procedures for the construction, equipment and operation of vehicles transporting dangerous goods; defining conditions for the packaging and labelling of dangerous goods during their transport; specifying professional training of drivers of vehicles transporting dangerous goods; establishing controls carried out on vehicles transporting dangerous goods; defining the institution of the security advisor. The Law concerns: provisions for the transport of dangerous goods by road; labelling of dangerous goods and the preparation of the necessary supporting documents; controls and inspection; security advisors and business obligations; power and responsibilities of the competent authority, including issuance of certificates; offences and penalties.
