Abstract
This Law, consisting of 18 articles and six appendices, and implementing the following European Acts Regulation (EU) no. 1308/2013, Regulation (EU) no. 251/2014, Regulation (EC) no. 606/2009, Regulation (EU) 2019/33, Regulation (EC) no. 889/2008, Regulation (EU) no. 203/2012 and Regulation (EU) no. 834/2007 provides for taking all appropriate measures to manage and control oenological practices and treatments and repeals the Law n. 87 of 2005 on Control of Oenological Practices and Processing. The Law defines the terms: wine product, vine season; competent authority as the Director of the Department of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment; establishment; oenological practices and treatments; oenological substances; producer.
Matters covered by this Law include: prohibition of production, supply, processing, bottling, storage, transport, sale, or trade of wine product or the use of oenological substance, not consistent with the provisions of this Law or the European Legislation; registration and control of permitted oenological practices and processes and oenological substances; red wine production control with blending; deviation from volatile acidity limits; statements of processing; appointment and power of inspectors; imposition of administrative sanctions and fines; offences and penalties.

Commission Regulation (EC) No. 889/2008 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 on organic production and labelling of organic products with regard to organic production, labelling and control.
