Abstract
This Decree, issued by the Minister of Interior in exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (1) of section 7 of the Prevention and Extinguishing of Fires in the Countryside Law of 2025, provides for detailed measures for ensuring prevention and extinguishing of fires in the countryside. The Decree specifies that during the period from 1 June to 30 September of each year, in the event of an “orange” or “red” warning being issued by the Department of Meteorology for extremely high temperatures, or in case of strong winds of medium intensity, it is prohibited in the areas covered by the warning to use any tools, machinery, devices or other equipment in an open space in the countryside for cutting or welding metals or other materials which, during their use, cause heat, flame or sparks and may cause a fire. The decree also exempts the use of tools from the ban in residential areas of cities, industrial or commercial zones, and critical infrastructure, provided that enhanced fire protection measures are adopted.
