Regulations Number 232 of 2025 on the Enforcement of Quality Control on Agricultural Products.

These Regulations, made under provisions of article 20 of the Law on the Enforcement of Quality Control on Agricultural Products, and harmonising Cypriot Legislation with European Law, provide for ensuring quality control of agricultural products at the stages of retail sale and of export. The Regulations cover the following matters: inspection of compliance with the marketing standards of agricultural products; issuance of certificate of suitability; special permit for packaging at the production site; sorting, classifying, treating and labelling of agricultural products; taking all necessary measures to prevent the further spread of harmful organisms and diseases; providing for proper storage, in order to protect the quality of the products; informing the competent authority of the date and location of packaging of agricultural products; control of imported agricultural products; classification of agricultural products after inspection; conditions and requirements for registration in the packaging companies register; obligations of authorised dealers.
