Law no. 129 (I) of 2025 on the Enforcement of Quality Control on Agricultural Products.

This Law, harmonising the country Legislation with provisions of European Union Law, apply to: potatoes and other agricultural products specified in the European Regulations, and concerns the enforcement of quality control in agricultural products. The Law defines the following relevant terms: competent authority; agricultural product; authorised trader; import; inspector; producer; marketing standards; storage station. The Law covers the following matters: designation of the Department of Agriculture of the Ministry as the competent authority and other administrative provisions; powers and responsibilities of competent authority, including specifying marketing standards of agricultural products not specified in the European Union Regulations; powers of inspectors; obligations of producers of agricultural products; control of compliance with marketing standards for agricultural products; trading of agricultural products; imposition of administrative fines and sanctions; offences and penalties.
