Abstract
This Act shall apply to the breeding, trade in and entry into the Union of the named animals in Article 1 including pigs, cattle and buffalo, sheep, goat, domestic horses and donkeys. Section 2 of the Act provides for recognition of breeding associations and breeding companies, approval of breeding programs, data transfer for performance tests and breeding value estimations. The Act further provides for conservation of genetic diversity, offering, delivery and use of semen, egg cells and embryos as well as trade in purebred breeding animals and pre-pen animals, intra-community movement, import, export, Monitoring, responsibilities, external traffic and fine regulations. This Act consists of 30 Articles divided into 7 Sections.
