Abstract
The present Ordinance implements inter alia the Commission Directive 99/21/EC on dietary foods for special medical purposes and the Commission Directive 2001/15/EC on substances that may be added for specific nutritional purposes in foods for particular nutritional uses. It deals with dietary foodstuff to be used for special nutritional purposes, for example, such as slimming. The text consists of 29 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Food additives and other substances to be used in dietary foods (II); Special provisions for certain foodstuffs (III); Packaging and labellilng (IV); Penalties and violations (V); Final provisions (VI). Twenty-three Annexes are enclosed.
