Abstract
Aim of the present Ordinance is to protect – by issuing regulations on their classification, marking and packaging – both human beings and the environment from harmful effects of hazardous substances. The text consists of 54 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: Scope, sphere of application and definition of terms (I); Classification of substances (II); Marking and packaging for bringing hazardous substances into circulation (III); Prohibitions and limitations (IV); General provisions for the handling of dangerous substances (V); Additional provisions for cancerogenous substances (VI); Orders and decisions by competent authorities (VII); Criminal offences and violations (VIII); Final provisions (IX). Six Annexes are enclosed.
