Schleswig-Holstein Nature Protection Law.

The present Law lays down provisions relating to the sustainable protection of nature and landscape in the Land of Schleswig-Holstein. To conserve the environment for future generations, nature and its landscape, being the living space of human beings, shall be protected in such a way as to secure in the long run its integrity, capability of regeneration and sustainable use, as well as to ensure the conservation of flora and fauna and living spaces, including its beauty and recreation value. The text consists of 66 articles and covers the issues of regulatory objectives, agriculture, forestry and fishing industry, landscape planning, general protection of nature and landscape, protected areas, care and development measures, species protection, participation of associations in nature protection, and financial support. Three Annexes are enclosed.
