Abstract
The present Law lays down provisions relating to the security in the harbours of Schleswig-Holstein. In particular, the Law aims at the protection of harbours against terrorist attacks and is applicable to all public harbours in Schleswig-Holstein as well as to private harbours handling goods or passenger traffic. The text consists of 25 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Measures implementing the ISPS-Codes and the Regulation (EC) No. 725/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on enhancing ship and port facility security.(II); Measures implementing Directive 2005/65/EG (III); Reliability check and obligation of secrecy and obligation to maintain confidentiality (IV); Data collection (V); Final provisions (VI).
