Abstract
The preset Act establishes rules for: 1. The national geodetic infrastructures of Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland; 2. The mapping of land in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland; 3. The charting of waters in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland; 4. The infrastructure for geospatial information in Denmark; 5. The arrangement and coordination of geospatial information with its associated infrastructure. As a basis for surveying, sea and land mapping, and for the infrastructure for geospatial information, the Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities shall establish, operate, and further develop the national geodetic infrastructures for Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland.
The Act contains 22 Articles organized in the following chapters: 1. Scope of application; 2. The national geodetic infrastructures; 3. Land mapping; 4. Nautical charting; 5. Infrastructure for geospatial information; 6. Arrangement and coordination; 7. Distribution of data, access to data, and payment rules; 8. General provisions; 9. Provisions regarding entry into force, etc.
