Abstract
This Act sets regulations for the keeping of turkeys for slaughter that are kept for commercial purposes. Keeping of these animals shall follow regulations on their environment, which shall be monitored in order to fulfill animal health rules. The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries establishes rules related to the required written communication form which shall now be electronically and the use of certain IT systems (digital formats, digital signature etc.). Regulations derogating from the signature requirements shall be prescribed in a way that appeals for personal signature cannot be waived for certain documents (articles 15a-c).
The Act consists of 6 Chapters: Scope (1); Physical conditions on the farm (2); Feed and drinking water (3); Supervision (4); Duty to notify electronically (4a); Notifications and penalties (5); Entry into force (6).
