Abstract
This Act aims to promote the use of sustainable biofuels for land transport and to reduce life cycle emissions of greenhouse gases from these transportation in order to adhere to Denmark's international climate obligations. Commercial companies have the obligation to ensure that biofuels emissions of their annual fuel sales for land transport energy shall be of min. 5.75%. Every year, these companies must notify fuel emission density and energy utilized for transportation vehicles with the goal of reducing emissions by min. 6% by 31 December 2020. The Act adheres to EU regulations.
