Abstract
This Order sets regulations on poultry breeding for human consumption and the registration with the Danish Poultry Council and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries for commercial purposes. Any commercial registered entity shall be subject to inspection for Salmonella and duly notified. Antimicrobials should not be used as a method for control of Salmonella and vaccination may not be administered for the prevention and control of Salmonella. Laboratory examination of material from herd suspected of critical resistant salmonella, shall carry a contact tracing, including mapping of medication use and the notification of their results to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. Herds of critical resistant Salmonella can only be declared unaffected when slaughtered, and following hygiene procedures approved by the cleaning and disinfection approved by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.
