Abstract
This Order applies to test laboratories carrying out experiments, tests and research in accordance to the OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP principles) and with the purpose of ensuring food safety through food quality control. The document regulates procedures and conditions under which laboratory studies are planned, performed, monitored, recorded, reported and archived - ensuring they are in line with GLP principles and standards. These facilities are periodically inspected by DANAK (The Danish Accredication Fund).
The Order consists of 6 Chapters: Scope and definitions (1); Rules for laboratories performing tests according to GLP principles (2); GLP inspection (3); Fees for GLP inspection (4); Appeals, relations to Public Information Act and Public Administration Act, and penalty (5); Entry into force (6).

The GLP principles are reprinted in the annex to the European Parliament and Council Directive 2004/10/EC of 11 February 2004.Inspection is carried out in accordance to Annex I to the European Parliament and Council Directive 2004/9/EC of 11 February 2004. The Annex is included as Appendix 2 to this Order.
