Abstract
This Order sets regulations concerning the financial contributions to competitive and sustainable food and non-food production with the aim of developing commercial potential in the organic sector at high levels such as climate change, environmental and nature protection; animal welfare; and food safety and health. The Order implements Act on Green Development and Demonstration Program (GDDP) which consists of a modern enterprise system of support to address some of the key challenges for food industry. Grants may be awarded for projects in agriculture (excluded forestry), and fishing and aquaculture. Approval for grants under this Order shall be granted to parties referred to in article 11 of GDDP Act (owners, tenants and users of farms, commercial fishing and aquaculture sites; private companies and industry associations and the like; non-profit institutions; and public and private research institutions). The Danish AgriFish Agency is the secretariat of the Board of GDDP (see article 3.1 of GDDP Act) and regulates the administration of this Order. The Agency shall exercise the powers of the Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries.
