Abstract
The purpose of this Act is to ensure food, agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture regulations through research and innovation. These initiatives are organized and led by the Danish Green Development and Demonstration Programme (GUDP) which is composed by one director and seven members. GUDP shall award with financial subsidy projects which contribute to a competitive and sustainable food and non food production, including contributing to the development of business potential, growth, employment, health and development of a market-driven organic sector securing climate, aquaculture, environment and nature conservation; animal welfare; and food safety and health. GUDP shall regulate research strategy aimed to implement the development of the organic/ecologic sector through the Board of International Centre for Research in Organic Food Systems (ICROFS). Grants of subsidy shall be given to owners and operators of farms, commercial fishing and aquaculture facilities; to private businesses and trade associations and the like; to associations; to self-governing institutions; to public and private research institutions; and to groups or associations.

The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries determines date of entry of the Act.
Notes
This Act does not apply to Greenland nor the Faroe Islands.The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries shall determine repealing date for Act no. 421 of 31 may 2000.
