Abstract
This Order, adopted by the Ministry of Environment, lays down rules concerning environmental supervision and inspection of activities according to the Environment Protection Act, the Act on animal husbandry and use of manure and the Act on Contaminated Soil. The supervisory authority shall prepare an environmental inspection plan that includes the businesses and livestock farms, etc., mentioned in Article 1, paragraph 2, and that fall within the scope of the supervisory authority's jurisdiction. The supervisory authority shall prepare a report after each physical inspection of the business or livestock farm, etc., describing whether the company or livestock farm complies with the laws, regulations, and decisions subject to inspection.
The Order consists of 22 Articles organized in the following Chapters: 1. Scope of application and definitions; 2. Environmental inspection plan, environmental risk assessment, inspection frequencies, and inspection objectives; 3. Inspection report, including publication and deadlines; 4. Provision of information by the supervisory and approval authority and its publication; 5. Entry into force and transitional provisions.
Annex 1 - Environmental risk assessment, according to Article 4, paragraph 1.
Annex 2 – Inspection frequencies for businesses and livestock farms, etc., according to Article 1, paragraph 2.
Annex 3 - Overview of groups that the provision on information, according to Articles 14, 15, and 18, should include.
