Abstract
This Order establishes guidelines for the transportation and notification of genetically modified organisms, which have been approved in other EU countries.
The Order consists of 7 Chapters and 4 Appendices: Scope and definitions (1); Risk assessment and classification of genetically modified organisms (2); Approval of transportation (3); Transport without approval (4); General precautions for transport (5); Information from the marketing of genetically modified organisms approved for marketing in another country within the EU (6); Entry into force and transitional provisions (7).

Appendix 2 - Criteria for the classification of genetically modified organisms in relation to transportation.
Appendix 3 - Principles for risk assessment of genetically modified microorganisms.

This Order enters into force on 1 April 2009.
Notes
Repealing Order No. 72 of 19 January 2007.Decisions taken pursuant to Order No. 72 of 19 January 2007, Order No. 1323 of 20 November 2006 and Order No. 380 of 17 May 2000 shall remain valid until expiration or upon new decision in accordance with this Order.
