Abstract
The Order sets regulations on the classification of food which have a particular nutritional and medical purpose, and which is processed and intended for the dietary management. Foods for special medical purposes are classified into 0three categories: 1) Nutritionally full foods with a standard nutrient formulation which, used in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, may constitute the sole source of nourishment. The products can also be used as a partial replacement or as a supplement to the patient's diet. 2) Nutritionally full foods with a nutrient composition disease or medical condition, may constitute the sole source of nourishment. 3) Nutritionally not full products with a standard formulation or disease or medical condition not suitable to replace total daily diets.
The Order consists of 5 Chapters and 2 Appendices: Definitions (1); Requirements for composition (2); Article designation, labeling and marketing (3); Notification (4); Penalty and implementation (5).

Appendix 2 - Composition of foods for special medical purposes intended for children from 1 year of age, adolescents and adults.
