Abstract
The Order applies to food additives in food classified as supplements. These do not include vitamins, minerals and aromas, and applies only where there is a specific provision for food with special nujtritive purpose, genetically modified food, novel food. The permitted additives are listed in Appendix 1. European Parliament and Council Regulation (EC) No. 764/2008 of 9 July 2008 on the procedures for the application of certain national technical rules to products lawfully marketed in another Member State and repealing Decision 3052/95/EC, shall apply to the administration of this Order.
The Order consists of 4 Chapters and 3 Appendices: Scope and definitions (1); Terms of application (2); Penalties (3); Entry into force (4).
Appendix 1 - Substances other than vitamins and minerals, which are allowed in food, including food supplements.
Appendix 2 - Specifications for identity and purity and analytical methods.
Appendix 3 - Information required for review and application for approval.

Foods manufactured prior to 16 August 2011 in accordance to articles 14-16 (see Appendix 3 of Order No. 93 of 4 February 2011 should be marketed until stocks are exhausted.
