Abstract
The present Order, of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, lays down rules on the international transport of perishable foodstuff. Commercial transport of the foodstuffs mentioned in Annex 8 of this Order shall be done using insulated transport equipment that is approved and labeled according to the rules in Chapter 2. As a general rule, road transport equipment shall be accompanied by an approval certificate.
The Order consists of 34 Articles organized in the following chapters: 1. Scope of application; 2. Approval of insulated transport equipment; 3. Hygienic construction and design of transport equipment; 4. Transport temperatures; 5. ATP equipment inspection and ATP committee; 6. Budget and accounting; 7. Control of imports and exports; 8. Entry into force and penalties.
Appendix 1 - Definitions and standards for specialized equipment for the transport of perishable foodstuff.
Appendix 2 - Provisions regarding the inspection of insulated, refrigerated, mechanically refrigerated, heated, or mechanically refrigerated and heated equipment to ensure conformity with standards.
Appendix 3 - Methods and procedures for measuring and controlling the insulation performance and effectiveness of cooling or heating systems on specialized equipment for the transport of perishable foodstuffs.
Appendix 4 - ATP certificate and certificate plate.
