Abstract
This Act provides for town and country planning at various levels of administration and related matters such as registration of servitudes in local plans and expropriation.
The Act consists of 70 sections divided into 18 Chapters: Scope (1); Area planning (2); Coastal planning (2a); Planning relative to commercial activities (2b); Regional planning (3); Municipal planning (4); Local planning (5); Plan implementation and withdrawal (6); local agenda 21 (6a); Division into zones and administration of zones (7); Summerhouse areas (8); Servitudes (9); Conversion of zones (10); Expropriation, etc. (11); Supervision (12); Administrative provisions (13); Complaints and appeal (14); Offences and penalties (15); Entry into force and transitional provisions (16).
Chapter 2a lies down rules relative to planning and protection of coastal areas. Section 47A concerns the expropriation of agricultural land by municipal authorities.
