Abstract
In compliance with Decision 2004/92/EC on emergency measures regarding chilli and chilli products. Member States have carried out checks for the presence of particular chemical substances. Those substances, which have been found in chilli and chilli products as well as curcuma or palm oil, constitute a serious health risk. Therefore, the present Decision prohibits the importation of chilli, chilli products, curcuma and palm oil unless an original analytical report accompanying the consignment demonstrates that the product does not contain any of the chemical substances specified in article 2. Further provisions regard sampling, analysis and reports to be submitted by Member States to the European Commission.
