Abstract
This Directive lays down some amendments to Directive 91/321/EEC. Infant formulae and follow-on formulae shall not contain any substance in such quantity as to endanger the health of infants and young children. Annex IX to Directive 91/321/EEC, specifying the pesticides which shall not be used in agricultural production intended for the production of infant formulae and follow-on formulae, is replaced by Annex I to the present Directive. Moreover, Annex II hereby attached shall be inserted as Annex X. It establishes specific maximum residue levels of pesticides or metabolites of pesticides in the products aforementioned.
