Abstract
Directive 91/414/EEC lays down the legal framework applicable to plant protection products and their marketing within the Community. The placing on the market of plant protection products shall not be authorized unless their active substances are listed out in Annex I to the same Directive, which establishes as well the conditions to be fulfilled. On such basis, the present Directive adds at the end of the table in Annex I to Directive 91/414/EEC the active substance “deltamethrin”. Plant protection products containing such substance may be marketed and used only as insecticides. In compliance with article 2 of this Directive, Member States shall keep available the review report for deltamethrin for consultation by any interested parties and shall make it available to them upon specific request.
