Abstract
This Regulation lays down special conditions governing the import into the European Union of feed and food originating in or consigned from Japan following the accident at the Fukushima nuclear power station. These conditions apply in particular to (i) products which left Japan before 28 March 2011 and (ii) (b) products which have been harvested or processed before 11 March 2011. Article 4 establishes the maximum levels of caesium-134 and caesium-137. Products exceeding these levels may not be imported. Annex I lays down the model of the declaration to be submitted for the importation of products from Japan.
