Abstract
This Regulation is a specific measure within the meaning of Article 5 of Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 concerning the use of bisphenol A (BPA) and other bisphenols and bisphenol derivatives with harmonised classification for specific hazardous properties in certain materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, including plastics. It also establishes specific requirements on the content of BPA in food contact materials and articles, which have been manufactured using another bisphenol or bisphenol derivative.
