Commission Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

This Regulation sets out specific requirements for the manufacture and marketing within the European Union of plastic materials and articles (i) intended to come into contact with food, or (ii) already in contact with food, or (iii) which can reasonably be expected to come into contact with food. The Regulation lays down detailed compositional requirements. The Annex lays down the European Union list of authorized monomers, other starting substances, macromolecules obtained from microbial fermentation, additives and polymer production aids.
