Council Directive 2014/87/EURATOM amending Directive 2009/71/Euratom establishing a Community framework for the nuclear safety of nuclear installations.

These provisions lay down amendments and addenda to Directive 2009/71/Euratom which establishes a European Community framework for ensuring the safety of nuclear installations. The amended provisions regard among other the definition of nuclear installations and plants for purposes of the application scope, the definition of accident and incident, general obligations of Member States in this field. New provisions concerning specific obligations are inserted; they regard the nuclear safety objective for nuclear installations.
