Council Directive 79/693/EEC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to fruit jams, jellies and marmalades and chestnut pur e.

This Directive shall apply to extra jam, jam, extra jelly, marmalade and chestnut pur e. Member States shall take all the necessary steps to ensure that the products defined in Annex I may be marketed only if they conform to the definitions and rules laid down in this Directive. In Annex are indicated the finished products and raw materials definitions authorized treatments and additives.
