Abstract
This Directive lays down control rules and measures to combat African horse sickness. It requires Member States to ensure that the occurrence or suspicion of African horse sickness is subject to compulsory and immediate notification to the competent authority. Further the Directive defines the measures to be adopted by Member States in case of suspicion of infection and in case of outbreak of the disease.
