Abstract
The objective of the present Act is to: 1) prevent damage caused by listed animals; 2) reimburse damage caused by listed animals; 3) promote species protection; and 4) increase acceptance for nature conservation. The Act lays down the grounds and procedures to the observed when allocating funds from the state budget to prevent damages caused by listed animals; to compensate for damages caused by listed animals; to support reindeer husbandry by compensating damages caused by golden eagles to reindeer husbandry; to support the fisheries economy due to the nesting of ospreys. The Act contains 39 Sections divided into the following chapters: 1. General provisions; 2. Competent authorities and their duties; 3. Support to prevent damages; 4. Compensation for incurred damages; 5. Support related to the nesting of the golden eagle and the osprey; 6. Procedures for application and granting of support; 7. Special provisions.
