Abstract
The Act establishes an area for the production of high-quality seed potatoes in accordance with Commission Decision 231/93/EC. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry may, by Decree, make specific rules on plant protection in the production area to ensure healthy plants and to maintain conditions for the production of high-quality, fresh seed potatoes within the production area. Anyone who wilfully or negligently markets or uses seed potatoes in violation of a Decree issued under this Act, shall be fined.
